Vietnam Youth Education Support Center – 4T Center – is a non-profit organization in Hanoi, Vietnam. Initiated from a small group of volunteers to a two-year operated social entrepreneur, the Organization was officially established in 23rd September 2011 with the mission of promoting Vietnamese Youth comprehensive development through the method of non-formal education – learning by doing activities. The Center has established a sustainable framework involving participation and support of both youth and community through socializing different objectives of the society such as individuals, businesses and social funds for the common goal of Vietnamese youth development. Access to Justice Asia

Established in 2008, Access to Justice Asia LLP (AJA) comprises lawyers, writers and consultants dedicated to assisting underserved communities and post-conflict countries move forward from conflict and mass atrocity. AJA provides bespoke strategic consultancy and pro bono services on a wide array of matters, including rule of law and good governance, institutional capacity building, diversity management, and oral history documentation. In collaboration with Singapore Management University School of Law, AJA established the Asian Peace-building and Rule of Law (APRL) program in 2010 as a platform for academic experts to conduct policy-relevant research on peace and good governance. APRL contributes to the Human Rights Resource Centre for ASEAN’s first survey of the Rule of Law & Good Governance in ASEAN and maintains a database on contemporary rule of law and good governance practices in all 10 current ASEAN countries.

"A resident is someone who walks into our lives and finds a home in our hearts."- Anonymous This sums up the philosophy of care for residents of Bethany Methodist Nursing Home. The Home is an oasis for up to 303 sick, frail and needy residents who are usually aged 60 and above. It provides a wholistic programme, including dental care, speech therapy, recreational and social activities. All residents receive the same high level of care and attention, regardless of their socio-economic status, gender, race or religion, with or without next of kin, family or friends. They require optimal nursing care from doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals. Most are highly dependent, requiring assistance for activities of daily living such as feeding, bathing and personal hygiene. Opened on 22 September 2001, Bethany Methodist Nursing Home is a community outreach project of Methodist Welfare Services.

Bone Marrow Donor Programme

The BMDP provides a critical public service to patients in need of a bone marrow transplant. These are patients who suffer from leukaemia and other blood related diseases for which conventional treatment have not been successful and a bone marrow transplant is their last hope for survival. The plight of a patient waiting for a bone marrow transplant does not abate. At any one time, the BMDP handles some 100 case files for patients who are either waiting for a matched donor or surviving on current treatment programmes while waiting for a transplant to be carried out to save their lives. The chances of finding a match within the family is 1 in 4 and outside the family is 1 in 20,000 for to get an unrelated donor. The BMDP maintains a bone marrow register of 50,000 and aims to increase this number by 5000, yearly. This register is a lifeline of hope for patients and their families.

International Bridges to Justice (IBJ) is an independent, non-profit and non-governmental organization dedicated to empowering legal aid lawyers in developing countries to protect the basic legal rights of ordinary citizens. Specifically, IBJ works to guarantee all citizens the right to competent legal representation, the right to be protected from cruel and unusual punishment, and the right to a fair trial. Within Asia, IBJ has well-established programs in China and Cambodia, and in Africa it’s projects are focused on Rwanda, Burundi and Zimbabwe. Singapore is the new training hub for IBJ’s operations in South-East Asia. The Singapore office will be arranging for lawyers and government officials to fly to Singapore in order to receive legal skills training as well as an education on why access to counsel is important.

Set up in 1995, TTSH Community Charity Fund (CCF) raises funds from the public to care for the sick in the hospital and the community. Every year, about $2 million is required to support over 2,000 needy patients, especially the elderly and those who fall between the crack of the system and who are unable to receive help from traditional charitable agencies. The Fund provides timely and critical help to needy patients and their families through the 70 programs it supports. The Special Needs Trust Company

The Special Needs Trust Company-SNTC was set up in 2008 to provide trust management services to persons with special needs. It is supported by National Council of Social Service and the Ministry of Community Development, Youth and Sports. SNTC partners with The Insolvency and Public Trustee’s Office to invest and manage the trust funds. SNTC was commissioned to provide affordable trust services to meet the needs of parents/caregivers who cannot afford private trust but want to ensure the financial security of their children. The funds will only be disbursed upon the demise or incapacity of the parents/caregivers. The settlors can set up a trust account with a minimum sum of $5,000 and can top-up anytime or inject future assets via their wills, or nomination of their insurance policies and/or CPF monies. Touch Sala Bai is a Singapore-based organization exclusively dedicated to the Sala Bai Hotel & Restaurant School in Siem Reap, Cambodia. Sala Bai is a free vocational training school focused on providing the country’s most impoverished young women ages 17-22 basic hospitality skills in four disciplines within an 11 month program. In the past 9 years, Sala Bai has graduated 803 students all of whom have been successfully employed into the local hotel industry within 3 months of graduation and at 3 times their family’s pre-schooling income. Touch Sala Bai provides talent, subject matter expertise, project support and funding to enable the school to achieve its long range plan objectives. The school’s mission is to eliminate human- and sex-trafficking by successfully addressing its root cause, poverty, through education.
